I am looking for a new car seat for my 1 month old son that has Recessive Dystrophic Epidermolysis Bullosa (rDEB). This disease causes even the slightest amount of friction to cause massive and painful blisters on the skin. Basically the protein collagen that anchors your base layer of skin is defective. Heat is also a major issues.
Car seat needs:
-very soft
-smooth, (no raised seams)
-well padded,
-cool, (we live in FL)
-no friction points
-easily adjustable
Infant car seat is preferred, so that we can take our time inside inside in the AC getting him adjusted in his seat.
I'm currently looking at the Nuna Pipa infant car seat. I like that the fabric is temperature regulating. I have not seen it in person. We currently have an baby trend that has almost no padding and a warm suade like fabric, that expires likely at the end of this year.
