Hi we are looking at purchasing a 2017 equinox and are trying to figure out if it can fit 3 across. This would be for our second car and now the main car we would use.
We have a harmony defender for our 4.5 year old (45in 50lb). A britax bsafe for a newborn due in a few months and we have a Cosco scenera or I have a britax roundabout 50 for our 17 month old (28 lb, 31in). I would prefer to keep the britax bsafe but could change out the other seats if needed. I've been finding conflicting information regarding the latch and seatbelta overlapping.
Thank you!

Hi there.

According to the manual there's no concern. In the past Chevy has had very specific diagrams in their manuals showing who can sit where using what, but in their 2017 manual (available for download) it just shows the lower anchors are on the sides and there are tethers for all three positions. Looking at pictures on google of the interior, it looks like three seatbelt installs shouldn't interfere with one another, and lower anchors and seatbelts as a combination should be easily available. You do have to restrain the armrest if you have a rear facing seat in the middle.

Thank you so much! The dealership is going to let us take it home for a night and I will try installing different car seats then.
