Urbini petal redesign?

Has the Urbini Petal had a redesign since launch in 2014 with changes to insert, strap covers or canopy? I have a friend with one manufactured in April 2014. She had pink for her daughter and is now having a boy. She called or emailed Urbini to purchase new partsin a boy or gender neutral color and was told that they changed them and new replacement parts would be considered aftermarket and unsafe for her seat and not fit properly.

I haven't been following the seat closely but didn't recall seeing any redesign. Did I miss something or was CSR wrong?

I don't know myself but I've asked a friend who might know. I'll get back to you with her answer.

Heard back from my friend. She says yes- as far as she knows there have recently been running changes to several Urbini products without any notice or publicity.

That said- manufacturers usually stock replacement parts for old seats for nearly the lifespan of the seat. I'd have her call again and give them model number and date of manufacture and ask what replacement parts are available. Looking it up that way may help.
