DS1 is 10 years old, 56" and 77 lbs. He currently sits in a LBB (Evenflo Amp backless) in my 2008 Sienna minivan. I just noticed when he sits in the captain's chair, he is so tall that the seat belt is actually slightly below his shoulder. I know when kids are sitting in harnesses and HBBs, the seat belt should always be at or above their shoulders. Does the same apply for LBBs, too?
The seat belt is attached to the captain's chair itself, so I can't do anything to change that. I tried having him sit without a booster at all, but the seat belt occasionally cuts across his neck instead of sitting nicely on his shoulder. I feel like he is SO CLOSE to not needing a booster at all, but not quuuuuuite there.
Thanks in advance for your advice!
