Hello - Due to an illness in the family and general homesickness, I am trying to plan ahead to relocate my family across the country (US) this summer. We moved to where we are now a few years ago while I was pregnant. At that time, our little family fit into our 1 car fairly comfortably, and our stuff moved in a separate moving truck. Now, we may be moving even further, and our family includes 3 adult-sized people, 1 toddler, and a cat, and our 1 car is not going to fit all of us for 20+hrs, especially if we take a more scenic route to visit family and friends. I had been thinking that an RV would be a safe, more comfortable option, but the more I read, the more & more unsafe I'm finding RVs to be. If it wasn't for the cat, we'd probably be Ok (if uncomfortable), but we are unwilling to leave our furrball behind. Does anyone have any suggestions for a safe, pragmatic (and hopefully inexpensive) way to relocate my family? All suggestions will be considered!
