I have three issues with my car seat and I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced them. First is the left side strap seems looser than the right. I had the same issue with the britax infant seat we had.
Second the clicking mechanism seems off to me. Sometimes it will be hard to tighten or loosen. Others it won't click or barely at all. Then later as I'm driving I will hear the click. What's even stranger is I and my husband (with the seat in his car) have heard the clicks while driving without a child in the seat and the straps not locked or tightened. The straps get tight enough and stay tight when our child is in the seat.
Third is my husband is having difficulty installing the seat in my car. He has no issues with his car, a Nissan maxima, I have no clue what year. When he takes it out to put it back in mine he has trouble (we do this every two weeks where it is in his car for two days then back in mine for 12 due to my work schedule). Specifically he has difficulty getting the seat to close on the belt. If the belt is too loose the seat is too loose, if it's too tight it will not close. I have a Honda crv with leather seats and we use the middle seat. The car seat is rear faced.
