Infant carseat cover

I recently bought a carseat cover for my daughter's Graco SnugRide to keep her warm in the cold weather. It is a 'shower cap' type cover, but I was still wondering if it is safe to have on the carseat while the car is in motion?

I had one that had elastic and just slipped around the outside of the shell. Worked great and didn't interfere at all with the harness system so no worries about safety.

I too had the shower cap style with both girls. My only concern with them being used while in the vehicle is once the car is heated up the child is under a thick cover. Babies over heat a lot faster then us adults. This could possible be dangerous for little ones. So, Just be mindful of that if you use one. I never left ours on the carrier while in the vehicle if I knew the trip was more then 5mins.

I had one with both girls and LOVED it! But I did the same thing. Mine was elastic and so easy to pull on and off. I always took it off the seat in the car so they didn't overheat. They never wore coats and they were plenty warm with a blanket alone.
