Does it need replaced?

I'm thinking not, but better to be sure.

Graco nautilus installed drivers side second row, latch in 07 grand caravan. It was parked and a huge tree limb crashed down on it. Caved in the roof, busted the windshield, and dented the front passenger quarter panel. Insurance totaled it out due to having to replace the whole roof. No air bag deployment, still drivable.

Luckily, insurance paid off the bank ( had used it as collateral for personal loan), and wrote us a check. We were able to go pay a down payment, taxes, and catch up a few bills we were behind on due to kids having medical issues. I now have a 2003 GMC Yukon XL!!:D

I'd contact Graco to confirm, but with basically intrusion on the roof, you're looking at structural damage to that area. That doesn't happen easily. I asked my husband (who knows more about how cars are made than I do) and he and I both had the same concern about the roof. The glass, the dent, meh. But that's not a little bump you got there. Your car was totaled with structural damage.

Given that you got a big check, I'd lump the Graco in with that damage, give it a kiss, and send it on its way.

Glad you were able to get something new right away. What a relief.

According to 2 reps at graco, it does not need replaced. Since the vehicle was not in motion and the structural damage was not caused by an actual accident, it is safe to continue use.
