Question HBB and '04 Town and Country

My 6yo son's car seat is expiring. He is currently using a Hbb compass brand. He is 44" and 42lbs. I would like to use a hbb because he frequently falls asleep in the car, kindergarten exhausts him :). And I don't love the way the seat belt is

What is the height limit on hbb? I am confused because it is not very clear. I was looking at an Evenflo Big Kid LX at BJ's and it is both a hbb and just a regular booster. It says the height is 57". Does this apply for both uses of the seat?

Also, what affordable (under $100) hbb fits best in the captain chair of the '04 T & C?

Thank you!

I think the Britax Parkway SGL and the Diono Monterey are the tallest boosters. The Parkway has a 21.5 inch seated shoulder height. The Diono isn't available right now as they're switching over to another model.

What position are you using for your son in your vehicle?

Do you only use the seat in the middle captain's chairs? Is there any chance you would ever want to use it in the 3rd row? I ask because the 3rd row is notoriously difficult to get a good booster fit in that vehicle. There are only a couple of seats that you would want to consider if you would eer plan to use the booster in the 3rd row.

The evenflo Big Kid is decent in the 3rd row.

I would look at the Graco Turbo Booster with Safety Surround at Target. It is $79.99 when not on sale.

I have a 2003 Caravan, so I think our vans are similar. Both the turbo booster and Big Kid LX fit in my second and third rows. My second row is a bench though. My reasoning for the Turbo with Safety Surround is the headrest is much bigger and nicer than the Big Kid LX so it is better for sleeping. The Turbo with Safety Surround headrest is also bigger than the regular turbo booster. I also have a Compass hbb and love the big headrest for sleeping kids. The Big Kid did not hold my kids heads up and they slumped over. Other than that I like it.

The Compass is one of the best that I found for that 3rd row. There are ZERO backless boosters that work. :( The Monterey is decent too. My kids still need to reach behind their head and manually feed the belt in any time they lean out of position or when they first buckle.

We have a 2006 Caravan. is that similar? we have harmony youth boosters in our third row and they work well. they are extra seats for when we have friends in the car, but we have never had any fit issues.

With a backless the shoulder belt is generally nearly off the side of the shoulder and too far forward, not touching the shoulder.

Yep, I can't find a backless to fit. We're about to outgrow our only vehicle. I'm going to try Incognitos, but I don't have much hope. The shoulder belt doesn't touch my shoulder and I'm not small.
