Question '03 Odyssey question

So we were able to find an '03 Odyssey! DH has a friend who works for the Honda dealership in town. He said if we found a vehicle at another dealership elsewhere in Manitoba, they could try to buy it for us. We found one in Steinbach, and it should be here today!

Anyway, my question is about the captains chairs. Does it work to move either captains chair to the centre, or does only the passenger one move? If the driver's side moves, we would do it that way. I just want to know so I can ask them to move the top tether for the third row to the right side.

Only the passenger side one moves. The hooks are different sizes (yeah, ask me how long I tried to put them in the wrong spots!) Also, your 3rd row seats have top tether retrofits available. Congrats on the van!

Thanks! I assume there will only be the one tether in the third row, which should work just fine for us. If we ever need more, we will definitely get more put in.

I have an 03 - if you ever have any questions be in touch :)

It's VERY car seat friendly.

Random tip - the rear air conditioner (there are two separate units) has a hose that hangs down on one of the sides behind the tire. Stupidly placed, it clogs with road crap and eventually it will cause the air conditioner to back up and fill the rear well with water. So, twice a year when you switch tires...mental note to clean it out.

Interesting tidbit, thanks for sharing. My sister has an '03 as well and I have installed her seats and also checked her installs for her. So I am somewhat familiar with how it works for carseats anyways. DH called his friend and asked to make sure the tether anchor is on the passenger side for me. He will be picking up the van after work today! They didn't have anyone working in the shop on Saturday, so it had to wait till today so they could clean it, etc. We will see if I feel up to installing carseats 5 days post partum. If not, DH will get some lessons, lol.

Hey congratulations! I don't hang out much in CMC or SCM so wouldn't have noticed that you were expecting a fourth!

You probably know but worth mentioning that the 2nd row slides too, and that you can buy covers for the unused striker plates for the shiftable passenger side captain's chairs. Enjoy the new ride!

Thanks :D

At first DH thought we would have to put DD2 in a captains chair cause he set her seat in the back and said she would have no leg room. But then I installed DD3's Radian on the captains chair with the angle adjuster and slid the seat forward and she has plenty of room :) I don't know if we have covers on there or not. We have to go for a drive tonight so I will check.
