How do you loosen or tighten the straps on the Britax Frontier 90 or Pinnacle 90 car seats e.g. Child has big jacket on = needs straps to be longer, only has T-shirt on, needs shortening. This can be such a hassle, but then I am not a spring chicken and have arthritic hands ... chuckle. Thank you

Jackets can be tricky. You want to make sure it is not puffy or bulky. I usually have kids remove jackets in car.

The release button for the harness adjustor is buried quite deep in the front of the seat. There is a slot in the cover in the front of the seat that you need to stick you finger in to depress the silver button. While pressing down on the button grasp both shoulder harness straps and pull toward you to loosen, then pull the strap coming out of the front of the seat to tighten.

Bulky coats are a no no in car seats. The general rule is if you have to loosen the harness to secure your kid with the coat on then the coat is too bulky. Coats will compress in an accident and create slack in the harness which can result in serious injury to your child. We reccommend a fleece jacket for use in the car.
