husky 6 year old needs comfortable booster

My 6 year old is about 4'3 and weighs about 80 pounds. The booster I have just doesn't fit him any more. We live in Alaska, so there aren't many choices. He has some special needs, including sensory processing disorder, so comfort is a must. The good part is that he is beyond smart and cares about his own safety, so I don't need a harness. We plan on taking a really long road trip soon, so I really need to get going on getting him a new seat. Any recommendations are greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Amber

I am not a tech or anything but I have a son who is 5 and about the same weight and a little taller than your son. The Diono Monterey is great if you want a high back booster. It does need a head rest behind it though.
If you need a no back booster the Harmony booster in this link (the only place I have found it for sale) [ame="http://www.amazon.com/Harmony-Olympian-Youth-Booster-Black/dp/B00318CKMY"]Amazon.com: Harmony Olympian Youth Booster Car Seat, Black Tech: Baby[/ame] gives my son growing room and doesn't squish him.

Thank you for the help. I have been looking at those two actually, but it's hard when you can't see them in person to guess how they'll be (for me at least). I will look at them again.

My son is 5, 46inches and 68 lbs. My 9 yr old is slimmer but much taller at 54'' and 73lbs.

The monterey fits them both great because it is nice long wide seat and the back wings are adjustable. So you can make them wider to fit your child easier..

I was never a diono fan, but this is my favorite booster by far.

Thanks all. Question though... I have been reading reviews on the Monterey and many people have complained about the new shoulder guides for the seatbelt (recent reviews on Amazon). Have any of you with newer seats experienced issues?
Thanks again.

Monteray Hands down, My son is 5.5 and about 70lbs, so very similar to your son, and the monteray is the best bet. My son fits very well in it, the belt fit is great and its very supportive and roomy where it counts.

From what I understand the belt guides were redesigned from the original diono guides.

If the guides are an issue they will send you a new headrest free of charge.

It really is a great booster. I'm getting another one. :)
