You want someone like me in front of your child's seat.
I HATE it when the person in front of me reclines their airplane seat. I don't recline mine, either, because I don't want to inconvenience the people behind me.
It is AWFUL to be in the window or center seat and to get up to go to the bathroom when the person in front of the center or aisle seat has their seat reclined. You wind up having to sit in your row mate's lap in order to get up.
Even on a 18-hour plane ride, I don't recline my seat.
When I was coming back from Ireland, I was in the center seat, and the woman in front of my aunt, who was in the aisle seat, reclined her seat WAY back and then complained to ME and my aunt that our vents and lights were bothering her.
She requested that we turn them off so she could be comfortable. Um, no! I was SO tempted to say, "Sit up and they won't bother you!"
