Convertible seat for grandma's car?

My daughter is outgrowing her infant seat (Graco SafeSeat). She spends about one day a week with her grandma, so we need a convertible seat for Grandma's car. We want something solid, dependable, reputable, easy to use, safe (of course). We don't want to spend a fortune since it's the third seat we're buying. For what it's worth, Grandma drives one of the smaller Lexus SUVs that's probably about five years old. DD is 13 months, about 24 pounds, and 30-31" tall. She'll remain rear facing for a while longer. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I'd go with a Cosco Scenera at $40, a Safety 1st Uptown at $90, or an Evenflo Triumph Advance for $130. They all RF to 35 pounds, have tall shells. The Scenera and Uptown have 40 pound FFing limits, the Evenflo 50. The Evenflo has the highest top slots at 17", the Uptown at 15.5" I think and the Scenera with the lowest at 14.5".

They are all fairly easy seats to install and use. The Evenflo has knobs on the sides to tighten and loosen the harness and depending on how the seat is installed they can be difficult to get to easily. But it has a really unique and, IMO, neat harness system that makes it difficult to not have the harness at the right level and tight enough.

There are of course other options, but I think these are the most cost effective for a seat for grandma's car for a once a week thing.
