Swedish seats

I have seen a few moms on here import Swedish seats and I recently had a friend who discovered them. I know they have higher weight limits but is the height on them a lot different then some of our seats? I was looking at them briefly and saw that it's like here and there are 10 different seats that all seem to be about the same! So what one seems to be a favorite and why? I don't think I will ever need to import one but I was just curious if it's something that would actually be worth it or if we have seats here that are just as good :)

We have seats here that are not illegal to use and that can get the vast majority of children to a safe age/size to forward-face. I can think of very few circumstances where importing would be the most logical thing to do.

I would only import if I had a child who had outgrown all US rear facing options and was younger than age 2.

I imported a multi tech but I also bought a foonf. The foonf is very impressive and I think it's a great legal option. Both should get my youngest to booster age.

Can anyone tell me more about the Foonf? What is the top harness height for rear facing? It looks like a huge seat!

It is huge but it seems to fit in smaller spaces pretty easily. The rf'ing height limit is 43". There's no restriction on which harness positions can be used rf'ing.

Foonf pictures are also a bit deceiving. It's quite narrow, so, while it is monstrously tall, it looks even monstrously taller because your brain assumes it's a "normal" width.

I saw a picture of a 3 across with 3 of them in a Volvo SUV and thought that was pretty cool. But it's just so tall!! I don't know if I like the idea of my child being closer to the roof. I like the idea of a lower seat so if we were in a roll over they are that much farther away from the roof caving in on them.

You're a good Radian candidate, then.

:yeahthatlove:

I wouldn't trade my Radian straight across for a Foonf. Unless I could then sell the Foonf to buy two Radians. ;)

I think the Foonf is nice, but the Radian is better suited to my likes and needs.

I admit I have a crush on the Swedish Britax Two-Way Elite. But I don't actually see myself ever buying one.
