Your favorite FF convertible or 3 in 1 with side-impact protection?

Just curious for when we turn DD around later on (she is 3 and happily RF still). When we do turn her, I want a seat with good SIP. Which seats are comfiest for the kiddo, easy to install, good extra features, etc?

There are no side impact standards, so there may be nothing to the claims of SIP. The Safety 1st Boost Air (http://carseatblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/10/Safety-1st-Boost-Air-Protect.jpg) requires support from the car to the level of the child's ears. Not sure what the wings do. Same with the Diono Monterey (http://www.kids-n-cribs.com/images/thumbs/diono/diono_15077_2.jpg). So who knows what "side impact protection" means to a company. They're the buzz words of the year, though!

I wouldn't get her a convertible or 3 in 1, since you won't be rear facing her. Will you be passing her seat down? Which is she in now, I can't remember which you ended up keeping? Will she be moving to behind the driver? If so I'd look at the Graco Nautilus and Argos, Evenflo SecureKid, Recaro ProSport, and Britax Frontier.
