My mom just got an 06 Maxima & I installed my sons seat in it for the first time today. Is it possible that the seatbelt a have both a locking retractor & locking latch plates?? I KNOW it had a locking retractor...but It also had what looked like locking latch plates!!!

If so, why would it have both? Forgive me I'm not used to newer vehicles lol the newest vehicle I've ever owned is an 04.

Yes, but not on the same seatbelt. The middle might have been a locking latchplate (though that's awfully late to be having one, it'd have been a lap belt), but the sides should be sliding latchplates with locking retractors.
