Delayed alerts?

I auto subscribe to threads I post I'm to keep up with them. Notifications via ap are coming about 2.5 hours after the thread was posted in and come 5-6 notifications at a time. Then if you go to the thread it's been over 2 hours since there was a post.

yeah. I use to get them with 5 mins or so of the posting.

Does this seem to be only related to app notifications? Do you know when it started? Anyone else having the same issue?

The app uses a different notification system than the forum email system. It's not controlled by the server's email setup, so I would have to submit a ticket with the app developer to see if there is an issue.

It's app only. I still get my email notifications on time. It hasn't been going on long, maybe since Sunday. I get nothing and then ill get 10-20 all at once that say now on it but if I go to the thread there is either no new posts or the update is hours old.

My phone has been super wonky since upgrading to ios6 so it might be partly a phone problem too.

Here's what's happening. Zero notifications then boom 5-8 at a time. Check thread and there's no update.

It's happening to me too. So I got annoyed enough and deleted the app, reinstalled it and it didn't fix the problem. I had tried logging off and then back on, and nothing changed. So I deleted it permanently.

This issue just began for me yesterday as well except for me it is happening with private messages. I have no unread messages and haven't received a new private message since last night, but am getting multiple notices for them. I just got 3 a few minutes ago, another 3 an hour ago, and I've got some that are showing 3yrs old - all from private messages I received yesterday.

I've tried exiting the app and then re-starting it and it is still doing it I've also gone in to my notification center and changed it from 5 notifications to 1 notification and removed the sound, but that hasn't affected the number of notifications coming in, just stopped it from dinging at me every time one comes in.

In my case the initial private message notification happened within 5 minutes of receiving the message, so there doesn't seem to be a huge delay in that regard. I'm guessing at this point though that I've received notification of the same message at least 20 times. That is a lot of notifications...

I'm having the same problem Trudy is. I sent a few PMs last night and they've been read but the app keeps telling me I've got new ones from the same person. The first notification was timely, though.

Still having problems here, they seem to come in batches of 3 once an hour or so.

Ok, so I went in to the app, refreshed my private messages, then viewed each of the 3 messages, then went to a different page in the app, and since then no more notifications.

For those with the PM problem, maybe try viewing those messages again, and then exiting the app from a different page?

etA: I thought it had fixed it, but I just had another batch come through. *sigh*

Happening to me, too. They will pop up on the lock screen of my iPhone, in copious amounts at once, saying I have a personal message, or that there has been a post in a thread I've subscribed to. I go look at those threads and there's nothing new there, nor is there any new PM's. :scratcheshead: Halloween App ghost...

If they bother you, you can turn all the notifications off I think. I can't stand notifications on most apps so they are all turned off.

"We're currently aware of several issues with iOS notifications and working on resolving them. Android notifications are currently disabled all together."

If it matters at all - I went in the main notification center (I'm using an iPod touch with iOS 6, by the way) and turned off CSO notifications altogether yesterday afternoon and I'm still getting the mass notifications as recently as this morning.
