Booster or harness?

I have been so busy researching convertible seats like crazy that it just dawned on me that my other two are going to need new seats too. My DS is currently in a Regent that is going to expire in a couple of months. He 7 yo, 48 inches, and 54 lbs. My DD is currently in a Recaro HBB that she is outgrowing. She 9 yo, approx 54in and 75lbs.
My thought was to pass down the HBB to my DS and get my DD a LBB. But I think I want to save the Recaro as a spare and get him a new seat as well. I either would like to keep him harnessed if there is a seat tall enough to make it worth it, or get him a HBB that I can latch in the car. The Recaro does a lot of tipping to the side that I am not a fan of. Any recommendations on a great seat for him?
For my DD I think she is probably too big for another HBB at this time, right? Are LBB all the same essentially, or are some better/safer than others? Any recommendations on those would be great as well. We saw a Clek last weekend on sale for $70, is there really any advantage to that seat vs something like a turbo booster?
Thank you so much for any input! It sure makes decisions easier!

I'd put your seven year old in a booster, unless he won't sit properly. I'd look at the Parkway SG-L, Diono Monterey, Clek Oobr, maybe the Compass Pathway if he hasn't outgrown it already.

For your daughter, I'd look at any backless that she's comfortable in. Graco Turbo, Evenflo Amp, Harmony Lite Rider, Cosco Top Side. Diono Santa Fe. Whatever gives her a decent belt fit and she likes.
