What type of seatbelt are in these vans? 2005 up to 2010ish. We're looking at buying a van, and I originally ruled these out. We've driven a chrysler pacific that seatbelt only locked at the hip/buckle (not locking at shoulder) so I didn't know if all dodge/chryslers were like this. DD1 is 49 lbs so definitely need a good seatbelt install.

My 06 locks at the latchplate which is my preference, especially for RFing installs. I find locking latchplates to be the fastest and tightest installed. Did you have trouble with the Pacific's?

I couldn't get a good install ff. The back of the seat wiggled all over. I guess I don't "trust" the shoulder strap being lose. I like hearing the clicking and knowing its locked.

I have a 2005 grand caravan. It locks at the buckle. Sometimes you can get a great install with most seats by reclining the seat some, buckling in, and then pushing the seat back up. Many times it will cinch up he slack of the belt. The lap belt holds the seat in and reducing the amount the seat tips up.
