We are going on a road trip next weekend. We have a 1998 Nissan Skyline sedan which my daughter usually sits in the backseat behind the driver in a booster seat. She is 5 1/2 years old, 4 feet tall and 50 lbs. we are thinking about using my husband's work truck for the trip, however it only has a front bench seat. The middle seat has only a lap belt, so she would sit there without the booster. We were thinking of using the truck because I thought the truck would be safer than the car in the event of a collision, however would she be safer in the backseat of the car in a booster? Or a truck with a bull bar on the front but sitting in the front middle seat with a lap belt? This is my dilemma. I can't figure out which set up will be safest for a road trip 9 hours each way. Please help! Thank you (we live in Australia but I couldn't find a website like this for Australia).
