Question Rear facing convertible suggestions needed mazda 626 & exterra'00

I'm trying to help a friend long distance and I am not familiar with her cars. A 1995 Mazda 626 and 2000 Nissan xterra. She has a 20lb 5 mo old.

Radian is not a budget option.

What do you think?

I have an evenflo triumph 65.

She shouldn't have too much trouble. The Mazda and Xterra will both have lap belts only in the rear center. The Xterra will be very upright, so even at five months she may need a pool noodle or towel to get something comfortable.

Under $200 I'd have her look at the Cosco Scenera, Cosco Apt, Safety 1st onSide Air, Evenflo Triumph 65, Graco My Ride, First Years True Fit, and Safety 1st Complete Air if the child's shoulders reach the bottom harness height.

The My Ride will be massively reclined in the Xterra. The Xterra has a super sloped backseat. Will they still have these cars in 3-4 years?
