Britax Frontier Question

I have a barely used Britax Frontier 85 seat that was manufactured in 2010 and I had it inside to make some adjustments for my kiddo to use it and I noticed that one of the arms seemed a little wobbly. I pulled the cover up and the red part that the screw sits on was broken. Has this happened to anyone before?? I am guessing I need to contact Britax?? Thanks so much!!

I seem to recall a case a few times on the US forums. Report it to TC as well. Reports can be made online or through their toll free number. You'll need the model number and DOM info.

I'd give Britax a call as well. Not sure what they'll offer since the seat is technically out of warranty.

Has the seat been installed with long belt path?

(I saw your PM, haven't had time to respond yet.)

eta: Do you have a US seat or a CDN seat? Not sure if you have the actual 85 model or the XT? If it's a US seat, then you'll need to report it to NHTSA and not TC.

Sorry, yes it is a Canadian seat. It is a secondary carseat that was being used in the in-laws truck. It was installed using the long belt path install, could that have caused the issue? Is the seat still safe to use with the arm like that?? I am about the call Britax and see what they have to say. Thanks again!

Sorry I didn't respond sooner.

I had this happen with mine, and I see it often at work. Britax says its not a safety issue and will send new ones free.
