New seat? Safety 1st Guide 65

I've never heard of this seat. Did I miss a thread on it? Anyone know anything about it? I assume it's 2012 compliant since it's new and has anti-rebound "bolsters". Snowbird? ;)

Looks exactly like our EB XRS65 that Bebe's parents just bought. I actually kind of like it, aside from the grossly contradictory manual. Maybe they've fixed it...

Thank you!! I KNEW I had seen it before! But a search for "Guide 65" turned up nothing. Looks like it's the "Easy Fit / XRS" in the US http://www.car-seat.org/showthread.php?p=1836333 The price is pretty good (for Canada). Does it really have 16.5" top slots? That would make it the same as the My Ride. I'm interested to see the specs.

I just noticed that seat too and was coming to ask about it. Did you see all the other new seats too? There's a bunch of what look to be new 2012 standard seats. Most of them seem to have higher sides for rebound control like the ones we've seen so far. I wonder what other changes have been made to the new AOE other than raising the FF weight limit?

Yep, that one is 2012 compliant. Can I just say I'm so happy to see the seats showing up?

I saw some info from Dorel that was for employees that had all the seats listed on it for the coming year, but I don't recall the exact specifics on this particular seat.

We will be getting the seat that has the tiny fit "seat within a seat" system, but I don't recall what it'll be called up here.

So I'm comparing the BRU picture with a Target picture, and it looks like our headrest has more padding in it too? Will be interesting to see what it's like when it arrives in store.

Speaking of the new seats, is there any indication of when they'll actually be in stores? I'm looking at the new Complete Air, as I need to replace my mother's Enspira.

Safety 1st told me they should be shipping in the new year but some stores might have them earlier but no exact ship time available.

This would be for the Guide 65 most likely.

I'd expect the 3in1's and the Complete Air to show up in the next month. I haven't actually looked them up in the computer since I haven't been in since they showed up online, but now that they are I can probably find an expected date on the seats we already carry.

The CA and the 3in1's have been on clearance for a few weeks already and stock is getting low. I believe that Dorel was ready to ship those seats, the Guide 65 and the other seats that are new though were already planned to be released 4th quarter this year and first quarter next year, so I don't expect all of them to show up right away.

If I remember correctly, the On Side Air (do I have the name right?) is discontinued. But don't quote me on that - I had limited time when I was looking through the info.

I know our Zellers which carried the OSA has been sold out for a while , I dont remember a sale but I havent seen in any since early sept , so I would guess they probably are done , and it doesnt appear to be a new model on TRU.....I did notice theres a new Scenera called the Eddie Bauer Sport....$119 though - ouch! All for the Eddie Bauer name too:rolleyes:

I'm hoping they've at least added EPS foam for that... The OSA was a scenera with complete air technology and it sold for $139. So if they've added EPS or EPP to the EB branded Scenera, I can live with it.

When I was at my Zellers last week they had at least 30 Onside Airs and even more Enspira's. It was odd since there normally is just a few seats there!
