I for sure want to sell her. I am concerned about keeping her for one because I don't trust my mom not to throw her out, and I have no safe place to keep her here. The only reason she lasted so long in such nice condition is because she was locked away in a truck in my mom's room covered by blankets. My mom's house floods often and I just worry. I rather her go to someone who can take care of her.

I think I am going to try ebay, unless someone wants to make me an reasonable offer considering.

:)

While I agree that the emphasis has shifted to the modern dolls, I just don't think it's fair to imply that Mattel has killed the historicals.

Haha! Off topic is always enlightening!

And i should say i don't think its Mattel who is or isn't trying to phase in/out historical dolls.... but rather the consumer. My sister lived in downtown Chicago when the first American Doll store opened..... it was neat to see - but even way back then i noticed 75% of the girls were lugging around bitty babies and "mini-me" dolls. :) I am sure Mattel is complying with consumers demands. And i do think Barbie rocks btw so no Mattel hate over here! ;)

OP - just be careful selling on Ebay because of fees. While i did just do a nice little bit of business on Ebay the fees were crazy high.... If you could sell it here or even on CL i would go that route and do Ebay as a last resort keeping in mind that you will pay a chunk. What you sell for less here will actually net you the same selling higher on Ebay. Just a thought.... sell it where ever you want!
