I definitely don't like the idea of the RideTight Green (which positions the shoulder belt), but what's your opinions on the ride tight red (designed for booster use)? I'm thinking as an adult I would like something like that since my driver's lap belt doesn't stay snug like I prefer. All other belts in my vehicle stay snug, just not this one. Is there any reason that it would damage the seatbelt that we can tell?

They are now offering free ones to all CPST's in exchange for our feedback... Wonder if we ALL sent a request if he would run out and go broke and not be able to make more LOL :p

The ride tight is just a locking clip that works a lot like combi's. The ride tight green pulls the shoulder belt down.

If I really wanted a locking clip, I'd rather support combi than ride tight.

Keep in mind, RideTight is a pre-crash belt positioner and NOT a CRS as defined by NHTSA under FMVSS-213. It is designed to help maintain belt position and tension for the entire ride with kids who wiggle and move around a lot.

So as I understand it, the "pre-crash" statement basically sounds like those cloth seatbelt adjusters that go over both the lap and shoulder belts, which are awful because they just pop open in an accident (subsequently releasing the belts into the wrong spots.) This is the same issue, correct? Also, I'm uncomfortable with the "maintain belt position" since that encourages parents to buy this cheap product vs harnessing their child.

I think I'll request to review... and not drive whilst testing it out :p
