Now that I have 2 kids, I've realized that we could actually use seats in both cars for the times we split the kids up between us. I'm hoping to get some recommendations. Here is the situation:
*DS2 (2 months) is in a Safety First Onside Air in our main car.
*We have a 2007 Boulevard in our second car b/c it adjusts easily. We've been flipping it around from rf to ff depending on which kid we need to take in that car. Once we get a second seat in that car, we'll use the Boulevard for DS2.
*DS1 is 3.5, about 36 lb and 41 inches. He won't fit in the Boulevard much longer even ff. He is rf in the main car but I don't think I can afford to buy him a second seat that will let him rf. I had him sit in the Onside Air and it looks like he would fit rf for maybe 2 more weeks, but not for long.
*Both grandmas also have Boulevards in their cars. I didn't know what else to recommend they buy when DS1 was little. Now I regret it b/c DS1 has almost outgrown their Boulevards. It was a pricey mistake. I'm hoping to find a much less expensive seat for us to get for the second car that I can recommend to them as well.
*I'd definitely prefer a seat that will last a while for a tall kid. I'd really prefer a seat that converts from harness to booster. And I'd really like to spend under $100.
Any ideas for seats that fit the bill? Thanks for any help you can offer!
