Hi
My dd1 has just recently started to push up against the crotch belt of her frontier. I keep asking her why? Too tight too loose? She keeps doing it. I know there are three positions and she definitely doesn't need to move it up. She is a high functioning autistic kid that quickly gets into doing the same thing over and over again. She doesnt do it in her radian but we ride in the van most of the time.
Thanks

my dd did that for awhile with the Nauti's crotch strap... it's probably because it is stimulating a very sensitive part of her anatomy.

I was very careful to tell her that the reason she was not supposed to do it (and boy did I have to stop her a lot for awhile) was because it was when she was around other people... she can explore her body in her room alone.

oh yeah... but with Ruthie, I knew all too well (before I even saw what she was doing) what was going on... she's been sticking her arm between her legs and doing that as long as I can remember, especially at night... for a couple of years, it was how we knew she was going to sleep.

It was the particular noise of her breathing and then the grunting... I still looked, to make sure she wasn't having some kind of bronchial attack... but I knew.

She still (when she wants) will go into her room and do that (at least her brothers don't holler everytime they go see what she is up to anymore... nor do they call it crunching... and it has also taught them to knock.

even though she was far more obvious about it (because of the obvious reasons) than the boys when they went through that phase of early discovery and frequent playing, it is a natural thing... and they finally got it after their father had to give a very detailed comparison to their anatomy...

anyway, I promise, it will lessen (at least around others) in time if you just concentrate on... "look, you can't do that in front of people. If you want to do that, go in your room and get under a blanket" (because otherwise, half the fun becomes it being forbidden and doing it to get a reaction)
