It's easier to list non-FAA approved seats. Of the harnessed seats, the Safety 1st Go, Graco Smart Seat, and the Regent are not approved. I think that's it. Oh, and the Frontier over 65 pounds harnessed (since it requires a top tether then).

Also, while not technically a harnessed seat, the RSTV is not FAA approved. Also because it requires a top-tether when used only with a lap belt.

Not all FAA approved seats will actually fit well in an airplane seat, though. Too bad that isn't part of the FAA approval process.

The Coccoro should be just fine. :)

I flew with a CCO (RF) last weekend and again yesterday. It installed in 30 seconds and the person in front of it was still able to recline their seat a notch. I have pics on my camera but haven't been able to upload them yet. It was great because DD could totally see out the window.I followed someone here's recommendation of wearing baby in a carrier and putting the CCO in my stroller while going through the airport. It fit great in my Maclaren Volo and I just semi secured it with the top tether so it didn't fall out. Then I gate checked the stroller. It worked fantastic.

Oh, and the FAA approval blurb they want to see is on the very bottom of the seat.

Here's Laine flying in ours. It also fits with several inches to spare behind my 5'10" husband in his Audi A4.

Instead of using a stroller, I strap mine to my carry on luggage. Laine goes in a backpack or rides in the carseat (or on the suitcase). We don't check luggage, or use a stroller, so this works best for us. I got a $15 strap called the Traveling Toddler from amazon and it's worked really well for us.
