EFTA harness issue

I bought my sister an EFTA a year ago last spring (i think). I've been noticing when my niece/nephew is in the seat the harness position doesn't stay in place. Isn't the harness supposed to click and stay in place? This is my only efta. The straps are always falling down below his shoulders when he's in the seat and if no one is in the seat the straps slide all the way down. This isn't supposed to happen, is it? My nephew is 4 and 40lbs and ffing, should we stop using it since the harness won't stay at/above his shoulders?

I would call Evenflo. The straps should stay in position.

yeah, I've tightened his straps and they still slip down. They just move up and down so freely on the track. I emailed them.

My friends does that, I'm not sure how they adjust but she just yanks the harness to change the height so I'm guessing that's why :/

Sent from my iPod touch, sorry for any auto-correct typos!

They should definitely stay in position. I have had 3 EFTAs in the past few years and in all 3 the harness stayed where it was supposed to. I would call evenflo. I had a different harness issue (harness straps would get loose as ds3 leaned forward) and they sent me a new seat. You will need to have the seat or model info/manufacture date when you call or they will not help you at all.

Just updating to say they are sending me a new seat :) She let me pick if I wanted another efta, titan or momentum, so I have a new momentum on the way. Excellent customer service from Evenflo  I think I'll keep the momentum and give my sis my maestro since she's not rfing her kiddos anymore.
