My friend is bringing her little boy twin home from the hospital today. They've got the Graco Safeseat. The problem is that they can't get the straps tight enough on him. She's asking on FB for help and people are recommending all this aftermarket crap, so I private messaged her and told her I'd ask you ladies here. What can she do? She's already using the infant insert that came with the seat.

Does that one have the double loops on the spliiter plate like the snugrides do? If so, are they on the smaller setting?

It should have extra loops at the shoulder as well as at the hip. She needs to make sure it's on the smallest setting for each. Also, he needs to be at least 5 lbs, and have the lowest shoulder slot at or below his shoulders to be able to use the seat.
