width of Complete Air at airline armrest level

Sticking this in the general forum in hopes of quickly getting somebody with a Complete Air to go and measure for me (apologies mods if this is not ok).

I'm trying to find a car seat that will fit on a flight to New Zealand. I think my best bet might be the Complete Air. However, I need to know how wide it is at the level of the airplane's armrest. My max is 17". I don't know exactly what the height of the armrest is (they were unable to tell me!) but I'm guessing about 8" up from the base.

Anyone want to run out to their car and measure?

Alternately - anything else out there that might do it? I'm in Canada so it would need to be a Canadian seat. Thank you so much!

No need to measure. Just put the armrest up on the flight. The Complete Air is FAA approved and will fit on board.

Not all armrests raise, though, so be sure to ask if the armrests at your seats do.

I've flown with the CA and didn't have an issue fitting it on the plane seat.

The airline is being very strict about it fitting between the arm rests when they're down, so I really want to be sure of what I'm getting before arriving for an international flight.

Does anybody have a chance to measure?

Went to the store to measure - Complete Air is 17.5" at that level, but the Scenera ought to do it at pretty close to 17". Thank goodness.
