Question RF Tether in Ford Escape?

We just purchased a Britax Boulevard for our 8 month old daughter. We have a 2005 Ford Escape and can't figure out what to anchor the tether to when the seat is rear facing? The only tether anchor locations we've found in our car are located at the top back of the vehicle.

If anyone is familiar with this car, do you know of any way to tether the car seat to the floor behind the front seats?

Also, when I fasten the buckle, her thighs are squeezed really tight. Is this normal, or am I doing something wrong? It seems really uncomfortable and I plan on extended rear facing so I'm concerned that this will be a problem as she grows. (She is pretty chunky now at 21 pounds but I wouldn't think this would be a problem yet?)

Thanks for any help!

I used to have an '05 Escape but DD was in a rear-facing infant seat at the time that wasn't tetherabe so I didn't have to find a suitable location. There are folks on here who have/had an Escape so someone will be able to help.

What I did want to say is that the seat does not have to be tethered rear-facing. So, in the meantime, you can use it untethered rear-facing until you get help finding a tether location.

We have our RF Marathon tethered to the seat track using the D-ring in our 2002 Escape. Slip the d-ring under & around the seat track of the front seat & connect to the tether strap.
