Radian moves front to back?

If a Radian XT has no movement side to side by base is that good enough? It seems solid there. It's FF with latch and upright, tethered and with Safestop. If I pull on the bottom front to back, I am getting much more than an inch movement (I can even see trying to pull the harness strap and having the seat move forward a bit). I have pulled it as tight as it humanly possible, jammed the seat into the vehicle seat with my weight, so I cannot possibly tighten it more myself.

Just checking if this movement is typical or even OK. Again, side to side, it won't budge.

No, you want less than 1" of movement side to side and front to back.

In what car do you have it installed? Can you post pictures of it?

How old and heavy is the child?

I read up on some other posts. I tried JUST a down motion (not down and back). I was in the seat bouncing and pushing just down with all my weight while I pulled the latch strap. The seat does not budge, now. Any direction.
Really, was that the trick? If so, how easy!

Another hint if you need to install it again. If your vehicle seats recline, get the seat as tight as you can first, then recline the vehicle seat, re-tighten the seat belt or LATCH strap, and put the vehicle seat back upright. That is the ONLY way to stop front to back movement with the Radian in my van.
