Question convertible seat for '07 Corolla

We have an '07 Corolla, and I'm looking for a convertible seat for my 11mos 20lb daughter. (she has about 1" left before she outgrows her SR35). I want something that will fit behind the passenger seat, and beside a Snugride35.

We don't have baby #2 yet, but I want to RF as long as we can, and #2 will likely be along before she's out of the RF seat. The SR35 needs to go between the seats, (we are tall) so that leaves the passenger side for a convertible.

At this point, the Corolla is our only vehicle. We will likely get a 2nd vehicle (minivan probably) at some point soon, but I do want a system that fits the Corolla too.

I am not sure exactly about the seat in your vehicle and how it works for 3across - I think KetchupQueen had 3across in a Corolla so I would look up her posts, and also check the 3across thread. You are not looking for a true 3across but t should be a great starting point.

It sounds like your DD is fairly tall as well? And you are looking for narrow seats that fit in small spaces...

I would definitely look at the Safety 1st Complete Air, it is one of the narrowest seats, RF to 40lbs and FF to 50lbs, 8 year expiry, has a nice tall shell but it can be installed quite upright which would leave you front pass room.

I would also look at the Sunshine Kids Radian - it is not very forgiving for angle adjustments, so depending on the vehicle seat it can go in quite reclined and be hard to install more upright, however, when it works, it's a great seat. It is very narrow, very tall shell, 40 or 45lb RF limit depending on model, 65lbs FF limit and also 8 years expiry. We have some specific tricks to getting it more upright, so I think it is worth at least a good try.

Most of the other seats I can think of are not really narrow and would probably not work as well for a side-by-side install.

Thank you for your reply! I am leaning toward the Safety 1st Complete Air- just need to try it out in our car to make sure it fits! I did not realize it has an 8yr expiry- that is great! Thanks again :)
