So I've been reading some of the threads here and it seems some like the Kiddy. I'm not getting the shield. Am I missing something? Or do you like it just as a booster for a school-age kid?

Do you like the Cybex X-fix? (dd loves the berry)
I'm looking to booster her and I want to be able to latch it. What are your dream booster seats? (I'm willing to import for ease and comfort-I'm hating our Britax Frontier)

I've been wondering the same thing

From what I gather, there are more options that are LATCHable (ISOFIX), better/more colors, um, and I don't know what else. lol, but it seems a lot of people like them.

Also have been wondering if there will ever be a US booster that has isofix. If not, how do people import them? I won't need one for quite awhile, but should start thinking about it.

I'm not a fan of early forward-facing. But if I HAD to FF/booster a very young child for medical reasons (like an injured shoulder nerve that could NOT have a harness putting pressure on it at risk of permanently losing use of the arm, or seizures that required me to monitor the child and no way to disable the airbag and put them up front) I would import and use a shield like the Kiddy (assuming they haven't made it over here yet-they are working on it!) It is much safer for a young forward facet because it reduces the risk of internal decapitation.

Although I don't advocate it, I understand why a parent might be compelled to import a Swedish rear-facing seat. I don't at all understand the desire to import a European booster.

There are plenty of US boosters that use LATCH now, if that's the concern.
