New Zealand: Rental Toyota Previa - which seats?

Hi all, we're soon to fly off to a family wedding, and will be picked up in a rental toyota previa (late model).

I'm wondering which seats will give me less headaches.
For DS, options are a Frontier or a Frontier85

For DD, rearfacing, options are a Radian XTSL or Britax Multi-Tech. We will have full choice on which seating positions to use.

I assume there will be ALR seatbelts (frontier) and LATCH (Radian).

I'd appreciate preferences from anyone who has experience with any of these seats in a previa.

Many thanks :)

Re: Rental Toyota Previa - which seats?

The Previa hasn't been sold in the US since 1997. I had to look it up, I didn't think it was made anymore. Would you like me to move this to international for you? That'd be only place anyone would have experience. There's no direct model in the US or Canada with which to compare.

We drove a 2004 Honda Civic, Japanese market, RHD. This was in 2006. I think it had locking belts, but no tethers, no lower anchors. So depending where in the world your rental is, you may or may not have access to ALRs and ISOFIX.

Re: Rental Toyota Previa - which seats?

I moved this for you because the Previa is really common in NZ. My experience with them is only a rental model year '96 and hopefully they've changed since then, lol! There were lap-only belts along with the lap and sash belts (oh, how's my Kiwi-speak?), so we had a choice of which belts to use for installation.

Since they're directly shipped from Japan, I'm not sure if there are LATCH/ISOFIX standards, as Wendy said. I changed your title so hopefully one of our other Kiwi regulars will chime in if they know. I'd probably leave the Radian behind myself since it has known installation issues.
