I have a bit of a dilemma occuring in our secondary car, which we use most often for transporting extra kids to activities and playdates. It is a Focus wagon. I have DD and DS's Radians installed FFing. It works well because it leaves room for an adult to sit outboard.
Before Christmas I had a Marathon installed outboard (FFing), since it puzzles so well with the FFing Radians. The problem we were running into is that DD's friends are quite big and do not fit in her Radian anymore (heightwise). I then tried fitting her Compass B505C next to the Radians, but it does not fit.
A friend lent me a LB Turbobooster to try for the three across. It fits. It is impossible to buckle, but I had DD crawl in to try a child "installation" and it is not convenient, but it would work. Is the HB portion of the TB the same width as the base? I am thinking of purchasing a HB Turbobooster for carpooling if it works in this vehicle. I don't think I am comfortable transporting kids in a LB, even though most of DD's friends ride in one anyway.
Anyway, do you think a HB TB would fit in this three across if a LB TB does?
Two asides: DD's eyes bulged when I asked her to crawl in and try the LB. She asked "We're not going anywhere are we?"
No screws in the one we were lent - I'll call tomorrow to order screws, and have the screws installed before I give it back to my friend. Thank you for the informative TB screw thread!
