Anyone remember this car seat?

I finally moved all my pics from my old desk top computer that we never use anymore and put them on my laptop. I found a super cute pic of DS2 in my favorite car seat ever. He was 2yo in the pic. He's almost 8yo now! I had bought this seat brand new when DD was 3yo and I believe it expired when Austin was 4yo. It was a sad day.:( Anyone remember this seat?

Is that a Next Step? Or a Breverra Ascend?

Loved the Next Step, though I never had one. Breverra I could take or leave.

It looks like a Next Step to me . DS1 had one for a while, but I ended up switching him to a Grow with Me (which I think is still in my IL's garage somewhere) because of the better booster design. I did really like it as a harnessed seat though...those big rubber buckle tongues made it really easy to fasten.

Next Step by Century. I loved that seat as a nanny. I had that, the STE2500 (which worked really well for the skinny mini who rode in it), Century Breverra, Century Smart Move and an Evenflo Medallion.

I've seen it before... a girl I used to work with had her 2 year old daughter in one... now she has a Scenera I gave her.

Ohhh... I'll never forget that seat. It's the one that brought me to tears, had me throwing a tantrum, and swearing at a customer service rep. I made the mistake of removing the harness from those plastic things (probably because of puke). They wouldn't go back in. The customer service rep told me to use a butter knife. It tore the harness, so then he told me he was sorry, the seat was unusable and I had to replace it.

It was a bad, bad day.

I think I have a pic of Sam using it as a booster...

Ah, no, it's a different one:

I remember it fondly as well. A few kids in my life had one.

Question: it harnessed to 48lbs here, what did it harness to in the US?

I had one DOM 2000-01ish (bought Oct 2001) and it didn't have the big buckle covers... Bought to replace my crash OHS

I had one of the first NextSteps (1998), the only thing I liked about it was the rubber harness/buckle triangles. It was a rear adjust, and it was a pain to install, and the armrests flipped too easily, and my kid's head flopped terribly in it when he slept. It was so bad compared to my lovely Evenflo Medallion I hated it  (but it was 100000000x better than the Breverra Sport we also had, I guess if it were in comparison to that nasty thing, I would have liked it more )

I had a next step for a short time. I can't find any pictures of it but did find a picture of Jacob in the century ascend.
