Just wondering...
Also, I got the travel bag for the Radian, is it worth it of should I just carry the seat exposed with the two straps to make a back pack?
TIA!!

I haven't traveled by plane with the Radian, but the Coccoro installs like a dream, IME. Five seconds and you're done.

I use the same tricks to install the Radian on the plane as I do in the car. Recline foot down, buckle and pull through the slit in the velcro. The buckle ends up smack in the middle of the child's back, but the cover has a protective plastic thing so the kid can't feel it.

The last time I flew I used the carry bag for the Radian, and then backpack straps. I had to put the seat in the bag, get on the plane, take it out of the bag, then put it back in the bag after the flight, get off the plane, switch planes, repeat. And when I was almost home, one of the hooks to hold the strap to the bag broke.

I will be flying in March with the Radian and will NOT be using the bag. Too much extra work to get it in and out. I would much rather only fold and unfold. :twocents: It will be with me the whole time, so I don't need the bag to "protect" it or keep it clean

Thanks to all of you! Question: would you move the radian straps up one slot for FF on the plane and then move them back down to install in the car RF? I guess I'll just hope her shoulders are right at the next slot and move it up for good, such a hassle to keep switching at the airport parking lot!

I did switch the straps but that's because of what we were doing with the seats (we FF without tether on the way to the airport in the shuttle.) I'd only do it if her shoulders are enough over for it to be uncomfortable, probably. If it was just a smidgen over, I'd not bother.
