I have a DS who is almost 3. He is on the smaller side 25lbs and 33". We are looking at the Safety 1st Complete Air, Britax Roundabout 50 and Evenflo Momentum. He will be in the captains seat middle row of a Honda Odyssey. We also have a 4 year old in a Britax Frontier in the backrow middle and a newborn in a Combi Shuttle 33 in the other captians seat in the middle row. These are the seats we are set on we are just wondering what people prefer of the 3. Thanks for the help.

Of the three I'd go for the Complete Air. It rear faces to 40 pounds (the Momentum does as well), has 17.5" top slots (the Roundabout comes close), has a lot of leg depth (so does the Momentum), has crotch depth (so does the Roundabout), and is taller than the other two by miles. It also has an eight year lifespan. I believe it's also the cheapest of the three. So you get more rear facing, more forward facing, more leg and crotch depth, more lifespan, for less money.

The Complete Air is one of my top five (which aren't set in a pattern, just the five I recommend to different people most often). The Momentum and any Britax are not in the top five.

Since he's small, any of the three seats will likely keep him rearfacing age 4 (at least), and harnessed until he is good and ready for a booster (age 5-6). So if I were you, I'd try all three seats in your car, try him in all 3, and take your time to decide which you like best. Any of the 3 will work for what you need, so I'd go with the one you prefer.
