Usergroup Change

With the big increase in reputation that should follow the changes to the Rep and Thanks system, there will be an increase in the reputation required to be placed into the Carseat Guru usergroup, probably to 2500 initially and possibly to 5000 if the amount of rep earned by members increases rapidly. As always, these requirements have been subject to change, mostly based on how the reputation system was being used.

There are a couple users who are very, very close to making it on their own under the current thresholds. If they don't quite reach it before the change, I will make sure you get it! As for everyone else, I apologize that the bar is moving higher again, but I suspect it points will be a lot easier to come by now. Even new members can now give 8 points per day. Before you had to be a member for over a year to give that much.

I was going to say Patriot has a TON of little green boxes under her name and that means a LOT of rep.

I can't ever remember how to know how close you are to the next level or check how much you have either.

The Carseat Guru usergroup is similar to being a paid subscriber at the Benefactor level, with a few differences. The requirements are 3 years registered and 5000 posts and have been that way for quite some time. The reputation requirement has varied, it will probably be set to 2500 and possibly to 5000 if people start gaining reputation extremely fast.

Not really (for how long I've been hanging out here!), but that is probably because I mostly post in the SCM and CM areas. :p

You were grandfathered at the time of the last adjustment.

I just caught an error that prevented techs with tech access from getting the promotion. Judi was already over the previous limits that were actually lower than they should have been lol. Chicabiddy was 17 posts short and Southpawboston was 11 posts short so they are also grandfathered as they were well over the other limits.

It's kind of unfair to keep moving the bar, so I apologize to those who were a little farther away.

Oh, to find out, just hover over the little green boxes:) CTPD mom is a guru, simply and patriot are leaders, Darren is an expert:p

To see how much you have, just click your user CP.

Mel, you are a guru wannabe...

You can also view the members list--and sort by rep--and it'll sort members who have it turned on...

Marvin (may he rest in peace) has the most. Then Jools, who is now a Guru Extraordinaire.. Oh, so's Ulrike.

Murphydog77, she's an Expert--And so is WendyTThomas. Everyone in between them is an Expert.

Splash, she's the first Leader. I bet she's close-ish to being an expert. lol As of right now, the last person in the leader section is MSK!

And the very first Know-it-All! is An Aurora. Hehe

Oh, a new one seems to be "Top Author and CPS Guru Wannabe", which is just under Know-it-all. And seems to start with Mommy2env (that is, she's the top) (and that's not to envy, that's E & V!).

Under that, it looks like "almost a CPS Know-it-all".

Then there are more under that, but uh, my oven is beeping ...lol
