Yeah, but I am not sure it will be helpful. Here are the problems.
First, part of the seat (the part that the child's butt and legs are on) hangs over the front edge of the actual truck's seat. From what I have read as long as 80% of it is on the seat this is acceptable.
Next, We can't get the seatbelt (it's a shoulder/lap belt) to get tight enough to prevent the 1 inch or less of movement. There are no latch things in the tacoma.
My other vehicle is a Toyota Rav 4 2006 or 07? I can get a good install rear facing using latch. Tried to do a forward facing install last night and this AM. I can't do it. I can't get it to not move much. I am so frustrated that I could cry. No wonder so many people have their kids' seats installed incorrectly. It should not be this hard. Dh and I have read the manual, fiddled, fiddled, and fiddled more to get that #$% # Radian installed and it's just miserable.
We really need a solid install forward facing in the back of the Tacoma. It will make life much easier. My local inspection center is at a fire department. They are absolutely incompetent. They installed my infant seat incorrectly so I just don't trust them enough to ask for their help.
I know this is operator error, since I can't even do it right in my Rav. I just wish it wasn't so hard. I seriously think I am going to cry. I have a really stressful week. This is just icing on the cake.
