What seat please? And another question.

I am looking for reccomendations for a new seat. I posted a long ramble a while ago and never got any answers. But I have more specific questions this time.

What seat should I look at for my 2 year old DD. She's about 25 lbs and I keep forgetting to check her height. She is currently in DD1's (still current) old AO rearfacing but I am not liking the way the carseat and the car fit together. I have tried both a seatbelt and LATCH install and while it is completely tight in there after DH or my FIL tighten her harness it seems like the seat is slipping on the leather and the angle is going back towards the 45 degree angle.

Our backseat is LARGE and I am looking for a new seat. What would you reccomend?

Also when installing with the LATCH I am left with a flap of fabric. What do I do with it? Does it get flipped up and installed *behind* the seat or does it get left down and installed *under* the seat. It doesn't say anything in either the carseat manuals or the car manual.

The LATCH in our car is buried. I have to pull the seat base up, lift up a velcro'd flap in front of the LATCH and then put the seat back down to get to it. I don't see a way of using the LATCH and then putting the fabric back down. And I can't get to the LATCH unless I pull up the fabric.

I know for sure it is the LATCH as it has the indicators above the seat, it is talked about in the manual (just not what to do with the flap) and the car is a 2006. The flap is leather on the front side and fabric on the other.

Just leave it flipped up. And yup, the reason you have the LATCH symbol on there is because the anchors themselves are not visible :)

Thanks I have it flipped up behind DD1 Nautilus but I reinstalled the AO with the seatbelt as it was interfering when DH tightened the car seat.

I really need a new seat for DD2. Any suggestions or reasons why the seat keeps sliding back and forth to a larger angle. I have installed and reinstalled this seat a bunch and I can't get it any tighter but as the harness is tightened it just keeps sliding to a 45 degree angle. I am going to try our Scerena (FIL has it) there as her seat was doing the same thing in his car. I was wondering however if the MyRide would work better and not slip up because of it's base?
