Thinking about the not so distant future of car seats

When do you think the comfortsport will be discontinued? It is now the lowest weight rfing seat currently on the market.

Which seat do you predict will be next to rf to 40 pounds? I'm voting for the 3 in 1. (It just seems like dorel is on a roll.)

Do you think dorel will ever take the booster guides off the 3 in 1 and make it just a 2 in 1? I wish they would.

The rfing to 40 pounds seats is exciting. I was just thinking that the only ones below 40 pounds now are:
Combi coccoro and zeus
Graco Comfortsport
Evenflo Titan and Tribute
Dorel 3 in 1s
The First Years True Fit/Premier
Recaro Proride

It's an exciting new day in car seats! I think it's really unfair that I don't need any.

The Tribute rear faces to 30 pounds, too, not just the CS.

I'm surprised the CS hasn't all ready been discontinued, honestly :shrug-shoulders:

I've been told by both Evenflo and people on here who have seen the tribute and the current version rfed to 35 pounds. Evenflo just hasn't gotten around to updating their website.

All the Tributes I've ever seen, including NIB with recent DOMs, are labeled to 30, not 35 :shrug-shoulders:

I think for a while BRU was mis-advertising it as a 35 lb seat.

The Tributes that I carry RF to 35 lbs.

Yeah, the ComfortSport is looking pretty sad in the line up at this point.

I was so bummed when our local Zellers just got ComfortSports. It used to be easy to tell people what to get there, now it;s there confusing everyone!

those darn comfortsports will never be discontinued, okay well maybe someday but close to never, because people keep buying them cause they are "cute" ugg.
But I am sooooooooo excited by all the new 40lb rfing seats hitting the market

NEVAAAAAA!!! LOL. Stupid seat keeps coing out in cute covers... They shouldn't even update it...just get rid of it, they have the Myride. But I'm sure they're keeping it around because it's their one seat with a $100 price point. They'll lose the customers with a lower budget who are buying it over the Scenera and Tribute because of the padding and pretty colors if they get rid of it.

The TF...

No...Not unless the Rumi does outstandingly well like the Nautilus did over the Cargo.

The rfing to 40 pounds seats is exciting. I was just thinking that the only ones below 40 pounds now are:
Combi coccoro and zeus
Graco Comfortsport
Evenflo Titan and Tribute
Dorel 3 in 1s Technially, the CA is just a 3in1
Don't forget the Truefit

The First Years has specifically said they have absolutely no plans to increase the rear facing limit of the True Fit, so I doubt it'll be any time soon.

The CA is not a 3-in-1  (or did you just mean it has the same platform?)

Didn't Britax say the same, though, for awhile there? Or am I mis-remembering?

Britax said they had no intention of increasing the weight limit of their current convertibles, (Obviously strongly hinting that new designs were in the works, causing everyone to salivate and speculate like aspergian hyenas. Clever Britax.)

I was just thinking about the true fit today at church:whistle: If the scenera can rf to 40 pounds, the true fit should too. I find that really annoying. I hope the true fit will change- and retroactively because I'm not buying any more car seats when I can just switch the kiddies around and make it work. (Though I'd rather not because I want the littlest on the outside, but the radian doesn't work in the middle.)

Weight changes are ALMOST never retroactive, though. The only one I can think of recently is the Radians, and that was because they released the new features before testing was complete, I think.

Britax said they would never increase rearfacing limits too so maybe Learning Curve will get on the ball too.

Britax said they would never increase the limits on current models. They came out with new ones instead. I guess it depends on whether LC has anything in development-- last I heard they were working on their boosters next, not redesigning infant or convertible seats yet.
