2010 RAV-4 Limited V6

OK, so I said in my earlier thread that the RAV-4 was off the list. DH convinced me to look at it (he has a Tacoma truck). I  that vehicle! I feel like I'm cheating on my Ody (which I also love), but man. Yeah. Love the RAV-4. Was leaning towards the CR-V because I have an awesome Honda service advisor. The Ford is off the list, just can't bring myself to buy domestic.

Soooooo, talk to me about car seats. DD#1 rides in a Monterey. DD#2 rides in a Frontier (the original style). Any issues with either of these seats that I should know about? Our "spare" seats are Radians. They are in the Nautilus and Marathon (respectively) in DH's truck.

I already know about the 3-across issue in the RAV-4 and that is not an issue for us (DH has been snipped and in all the years I've had my van, I've never transported anyone else's children.

TIA

Just that besides the 3 across, you'll probably not get a good install on the Frontier in the center seat, if you ever wanted it there. Crazy long buckle stalks. But if you have both outboard and never have to carry anyone else back there, then you'll be fine I think.

I'm kinda hoping that we'll be able to use that center rear console. Not sure if it will work between a FR and a Monterey, though.

One of the big pluses to this vehicle is that the ILs won't fit. So, yeah, no center installs. If I needed one, I have those RNs I could use.

I think I might get DH to bring it home tomorrow and we can play with the seats.

Gotta figure out the occasional dog issue too. I think his crate will fit in the back. DH has been googling that and thinks it fits. The rear seats slide forward, so we think that possibly we could slide the one that the Monterey is installed on forward if/when I need to take the dog's crate in the cargo area.

I don't know that there's a chance on this earth that a RN would fit in the center. Maybe if you worked REALLY REALLY hard and got the buckle all the way in the belt path.
