Okay I have to install my radian like asap because dh is on his way home from work to take my babies to the er becuase they are sick....

now here are tow questions:
#1: I have bench seats but they incline a little towards the center. So is it okay to put a towel under the radian RF base to make it at a perfect 45 degree angle?

#2:I have the crotch strap that the manual says is the best for my baby and the harness is VERY tight on her the way it should be on her front(tummy and shoulders),BUT the side part that goes around her waist I can fit 4 fingers in.Is that okay or am i doing something wrong??

okay see like in your daughters seat the straps around her waist well those i can fit 4 fingers in between those straps and dd's skin BUT the ones on your dd's tummy and shoulders ARE really tight.Does that make sense? My camera is full of pics so i cant take any pics to show what i mean...Is this okay?My dd is very skinny

This happens to my DD in her Regent. From the back of the Regent seat to the crotch stap is bigger (longer? hope that descibes it best), so the belly pad doesn't sit against her as well. The harness is tight at her shoulders but I can kinda make a fold in the harness near the bellypad because DD is so thin and it doesn't touch her. This doesn't happen in her MA.

What you are describing is ok, if it's what I think it is. It needs to be snug on her shoulders (can't pinch any webbing up) and across her thighs/hips. If there is space between her belly and the straps, that's ok. It's the strong bony parts of the body that are taking the brunt of crash forces, not soft little bellies :). I hope that helps and maybe you can post pictures of your dd soon, if only for the cuteness factor ;) .

Thanks everyone,i ended up putting my son in the radian RF again since he is only 28#'s it seems to fit him better then my dd,probably because she is still so small.
