Question evenflo 3 point infant seat

Just curious... are all the evenflo 3 point harness infant seats expired now? Went to a baby shower yesterday and saw that she had an evenflo travel system (the osh kosh denim cover). She said she got it at a consignment store. I'm not sure if she's actually planning on using the infant seat since she was mentioning that she really wants to use a convertible. Thought I'd ask though.

Nope! I've got one with a couple of years of life left.

Make sure it wasn't recalled, though. It's never a good idea to use a seat from an untrusted source, but nearly every Evenflo Discovery infant seat through...2008? I think was recalled for flying off the base.

Also, she needs to know that the handle must be down in the car AND there has to be 1.5" of clearance between the handle and the front seat, so it doesn't fit well in many cars.

But if she's just using it for the stroller no biggie.

Good to know. It turns out that she's not going to use it and has been given money from a relative to get a convertible. :)

Great. Just make sure it's a convertible that actually fits a newborn well. Most don't.
