Frontier XT in Manitoba

Hey guys. I have a friend with a very tall 2.5 year old who is looking to get a Frontier XT.. I came in here to ask if they were available in any stores in Manitoba or if she has to buy online, but then I saw the recall thread. Are they ALL recalled now?

Here is the recall http://www.britax.ca/uploads/advisory/notice/25-7e2.pdf it is just ones manufactured from Feb. 16 - March 12, 2010. And the seats can still be used, Britax will send out a fix kit for them. I assume stores will not sell those DOMs until they receive a repair kit, but am not certain on that.

I do know that another member here has already purchased an XT with a newer DOM than March 12 and it has an orange sticker on the box to indicate that it is not affected by the recall.

Does anyone happen to know if they are available in any stores in Manitoba? I'm not sure exactly where she is..

I was at TRU in Winnipeg about 2 weeks ago and they didn't have it then, but they might now. She could also check E-Children in Winnipeg. Other than that, I don't know where else it would be in Manitoba.

I bought my frontier XT last weekend from e-children in Winnipeg. It has a DOM of March 16th and is not affected by the recall. I love this seat! They did not have them out on the floor at that time, but I asked and they had some in their storage so I was able to get one. I think they are trying to sell the old Frontiers before making it known that they have the new ones (which are way better IMO) for the same price.
