heavier booster seats with latch

Does anyone have an opinion on some of these new booster seats that latch like the Britax Frontier or the Clek Oobr. They seems to be a little heavier than most (22 lbs). Has there been any crash testing done on them? My concern is whether the seat will move with the child properly in a crash and whether the weight of these would put too much pressure on the child. Thanks.

They're crash tested and have passed under FMVSS213. Otherwise they wouldn't be allowed to be sold.

With a heavier booster seat, LATCH is beneficial because the seat is anchored to the vehicle & does not exert the same forces on the child as an un-LATCHed booster would. I would not be concerned at all about using a heavier booster if it was LATCHed. If LATCHing wasn't an option, I personally would opt for a lighter-weight booster instead.
